The arrangement of goods in modern warehouses now follows a dynamic that tends to favor an optimization of available
spaces, a situation that sometimes risks becoming chaotic without careful planning and control of every movement.
Modern RFID and RTLS identification technologies, applied on the vehicle in use for the movement of goods, can now
allow an automatic traceability of each pallet with accurate location detail.
The Smart Forklift project described
in these pages therefore aims to provide some configuration hypotheses for application solutions, oriented towards
potentially interested parties, such as Forklift Manufacturers, Forklift Manufacturers pallets or containers for
goods handling, or Software House specialized in Logistics Management warehouse.
In short, and as illustrated below,
the solution involves the use of RFID technology for the identification of each pallet or container (Reader on
Forklift and Tag on pallet) in addition to Point RTLS technology for accurate location.
