Premise
TagItalia won a significant order for the supply of equipment by Ansaldo STS SpA for an important project of railway development in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The request
The Ansaldo STS initial order of 30 units concerns TagMaster
XT-3 HD Reader
, Heavy Duty UHF Long Range RFID Reader. The Reader will be installed at a major industrial rail line.
The solution
The application of devices in an industrial environment for some railway lines in desert areas requires the use of Reader particularly robust to guarantee optimum performance even in harsh environmental conditions. Hence the decision to provide products TagMaster Series Heavy Duty (HD) and in particular the Reader XT-3 HD.
TagItalia also got the task of designing, follow the necessary testing activities and then provide auxiliary protection systems, able to further increase the degree of protection from solar radiation of the Reader.
The results
This is a confirms of confidence of big companies regarding TagMaster products. Also the professionalism of TagItalia for the ability to provide solutions with a high level of technological development and underlines the attention of Ansaldo STS SpA to the quality of his suppliers. TagMaster reader will be used in combination with signaling systems supplied by Ansaldo STS SpA.
The complete system will be used to automate the process of identifying wagons and improving the operational efficiency of the end user, all thanks to UHF RFID tecnolgy.
